Jon M. Marinas, President & CEO

Jon Marinas is a company founder and current managing member of JMM Management Group, LLC d/b/a JMM Global. He is responsible for all company operations and oversight for the Illinois and California office. Mr. Marinas has over 19 years of UST/AST regulatory management, operational compliance management, information management and health and safety representation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Environmental Management from the University of California-Berkeley. He is also a Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois, Texas, Florida, and Georgia.

Mr. Marinas previously served with BP Products North America Inc., as an in-house environmental manager which duties included oversight of bp’s central business units’ health and safety department as a prevention/assurance team lead and environmental team lead for bp’s East of the Rockies operations; Tanknology as Vice-President of Corporate Services, Senior Project Manager and Unit Manager; Earl Sheib, Inc. as a health and safety assistant; Chevron Oil Company (during undergraduate studies) as an intern for Chevron’s environmental health and safety department; United States Naval Petty Officer 3rd Class as a Weapons Specialist During Operation Desert Storm. Mr. Marinas enlisted in the U.S. Navy through a Temporary Active Reserve (TAR) Program designed to provide financial aid to undergraduate students while taking an active role in defending America’s freedom. Mr. Marinas was honorably discharged with several naval citations and served in active reserves for the remainder of his military tenure.

Mr. Marinas has been an active member/participant in the American Petroleum Institute (API) Management and Technology Conferences, Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI), State Tank and Equipment Contractor Associations, UST Management/Compliance Seminars and numerous petroleum industry associations. He has been instrumental in shaping numerous Federal, State and Local Storage Tank Regulations. Through numerous submittals and presentations, Mr. Marinas regularly advocates on behalf of JMM’s client base. Mr. Marinas and his team are participants in California CUPA and AQMD conferences. By serving through these various mediums, JMM’s regulatory expertise becomes more recognized amongst the regulatory community. Mr. Marinas also has an extensive background in Construction Management, and Project Management Systems. He is an instrumental part in the development of Internet/Web-Based Management Information Systems (MIS) for JMM’s APEC, IPMS, IMS, OTP and SmartComply Database.

Christopher J. Olson, Dir. of Business Development

Christopher Olson joined JMM Global as an Owner in 2011, where he shares in oversight of the company with Mr. Marinas.  He is also accountable for sales, marketing, and new business development.  Mr. Olson also serves as the JMM’s primary lead in identifying and leveraging natural resource and eco-asset values on environmentally challenged real estate sites. He has 29 years of experience in the petrochemical industry in a wide spectrum of business and environmental management roles.  These roles have included environmental remediation project management on complex chemical and Superfund sites, as well as leading BP’s efforts in the area of Brownfield redevelopment.  Mr. Olson serves on several advisory boards, including the National Brownfield Association, BNA’s Environmental Due Diligence Guide, and RTM Communications. He is also a frequent speaker at Brownfield transaction conferences and contributes written perspective through Brownfield News and Sustainable Development and Brownfield Renewal.

Greg Kieca, Information Services Manager

As JMM Global’s IT Solutions Director, Greg Kieca is responsible for building web applications from the ground up and is responsible for requirements-gathering, architectural activities, coding, documentation, and implementation.  Additionally, his responsibilities include designing and developing functional user interfaces and other visual aspects of web applications.  Mr. Kieca has more than eight years of experience in web and database application development using various cutting-edge technologies including .NET.  He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois.

Catherine Lang, Land Asset & Compliance Program Manager


Catherine Lang serves JMM Global as the Land Asset & Compliance Program Manager and oversees company operations.  She is responsible for procurement of critical client portfolio information for a number of JMM's programs.  In this position, Ms. Lang plays an essential role in supporting customers that are in the divestiture phase and for those who are interested in real estate redevelopment opportunities.  Along with providing oversight for Land Asset Management, she has developed and improved JMM Global's training programs and also works with customers of all sizes to administer various types of training courses.  Ms. Lang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication, Culture, and Advocacy with a concentration in Geology from Northern Illinois University.

Michael Pepe, Program Manager & New Bus. Development


Michael Pepe brings 19 years of industry experience to JMM Global.  Mr. Pepe currently serves a dual role of Program Manager and building New Business Development.  During his career, Mr. Pepe has gained testing and management knowledge from major oil companies as well as working with a multitude of c-store chains and independent owners.  Mr. Pepe also has handled national accounts for tank cleaning, sump repair, phase separation reversal, equipment testing and overall compliance management.

Along with exerting efforts toward new projects, Mr. Pepe has served as a long-standing member with the Petroleum Equipment Contractors Association (PECA).  His roles with PECA include a seat with the board of directors, as well as being elected their Vice President.  Mr. Pepe also has a positive working relationship with the New Jersey Gasoline and Convenience Store Association (NJGCA) and remains a part of the environmental subcommittee.
